New Delhi: After walking in Starbucks with zero security, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani is all set to travel to the highest battleground in the world.
According to NDTV, Smriti Irani will celebrate Raksha Bandhan with soldiers posted at the Siachen Glacier next week.
The trip was `sanctioned` today by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Besides Irani, eight other BJP women ministers will visit border areas in North East, Rajasthan, and Kashmir to celebrate the festival with jawans.
Smriti Irani was recently spotted at a Starbucks coffee shop in Delhi's Connaught Place, standing in a queue and waiting for her turn to order.
She also launched a #IWearHandloom' initiative, which went viral online.
