BJP only making announcements in Jharkhand, not implementing: Congress

The Congress on Monday charged the BJP government in Jharkhand of making announcements and implementing them.

Jamshedpur: The Congress on Monday charged the BJP government in Jharkhand of making announcements and implementing them.

"What is the status of the proposed Greater Ranchi, International Airport, IT Zone, Industrial Park and the single window system, floated by the previous BJP-led NDA regime?" asked S R A Rizvi Chabban, Secretary of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, here.

Chief Minister Raghuvar Das was following the footsteps of his predecessors by making announcements without implementing them, he said.

"The previous governments had proposal to set up a land bank, but the output was zero," he said.

The state of affairs of the Centre-sponsored Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification project was no different and hardly any progress was made in this regard, Chabban said regretting the rural electrification programme failed to achieve its target in Jharkhand.

"Even former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda's promise to dig one lakh ponds in 100 days during his rule turned to be a farce," he added.
