Jamshedpur: Criminal activites have spurted during President`s Rule in Jharkhand, state BJP
president Raghuvar Das said on Wednesday and criticised the
administration for failing to protect the life of police
inspector Francis Induwar who was beheaded by Maoists.

The government machinery had failed `miserably` and
criminals were ruling the roost in urban pockets. ``The naxals
are apparently following Taliban-style killings in the rural
belts, Das told a press conference here.
The administration had kept itself busy in transfer and
posting of officials rather than seriously searching for
Induwar despite repeated pleas by his family, he said.

Induwar was abducted by Maoists on September 30 and his
decapitated body was found near Raesha Ghati in Khunti
district yesterday.
Describing Jharkhand Governor K Shankarnaryanan as a
puppet of the Congress, the BJP leader said he was installed
in the state only for political mileage before the assembly
election to be held by the year end.

The governor was implementing Congress agenda like
campaigning in favour of the party and raising funds for the
polls, Das alleged.
