Meet 11-year-old girl, who carried her brother on her shoulders to reach hospital

Ranchi: An 11-year-old-girl walked eight kilometers carrying her sick brother on her shoulders to reach a hospital in Godda district in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand, a tribal dominated state, is considered to be very backward in terms of health facilities.

The Maoist-affected state has lacked in providing many basic facilities such as transport, medical and education.

In 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party formed government in Jharkhand under the leadership of Raghubar Das.

Earlier, it was ruled by Jharkhad Mukti Morcha led by Hemant Soren, the son of Shibu Soren.
