In a relief to job aspirants from Kerala, Kuwait government on Monday authorised a new agency which is having operations in the state to conduct medical screening of job seekers.

Kochi: In a relief to job aspirants from Kerala, Kuwait government on Monday authorised a new agency which is having operations in the state to conduct medical screening of job seekers.

The newly authorised GAMCA Medical Centres have operations in Kerala. Besides, it charges only Rs 3,600 as fee for medical screening.

"All authorised agents and individuals are hereby informed that Medical Reports will be accepted from the GAMCA Medical Centres only with effect from Monday 29th June 2015," according to a notice issued by the Embassy of Kuwait here.

The Kuwait authority's decision came after complaints from job aspirants from Kerala that the Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt Ltd (KISPL) allegedly overcharged their services for the medical screening process, which is mandatory for visa clearance to Kuwait.

KISPL had shut its Kochi operations allegedly after job aspirants filed a complaint with police alleging excess amount charged for the medical screening process.

The issue of allegedly overcharging fee for medical screening by the agency was a big issue in the state from where youths huge numbers go to Kuwait in search of job.
