Raisen: Forest officials on Sunday arrested a person for killing a black buck in Garhi forest area, near Gufa beat.
Acting on a tip-off, the team led by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) R S Bhadoria arrested Maharaj Singh Lodhi who had allegedly killed the animal -- a protected species under the law -- last night, at Tila Khurd village.
The officials also seized the back portion of the animal.
A case has been registered against Lodhi under the Wildlife Protection Act.
