Working for common man would help BJP: Gadkari

Mumbai: Advising the party legislators to
work in the interest of common man, BJP national president
Nitin Gadkari said on Sunday that it would ultimately help the
party to restore itself to power.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of the two-day
training workshop for BJP legislators at Rambhau Mhalgi
Prabodhini at Uttan in adjoining Thane district.

"Voters and people are the real soul of democracy and
working in the interest of common man would only help our
party," he said.

Gadkari further said that Congress is in a bad shape now
and BJP should take advantage of the situation and come to
power. But, in the same breath, he also asked whether BJP is
really in a position to come to power.

"Are we in a position to take over? We need to bring
ourselves in a position to come to power. Therefore, we need
to work for the common man," he asked BJP members.

Criticising the UPA government, Gadkari said, "The CAG
report has brought the Prime Minister`s office (PMO) as well
as Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the line of fire for
over-expenditure in Common Wealth Games. More such reports
would come out that would ultimately dethrone the UPA
government," he said.
