Dharamsala, Jan 08: Accusing the Himachal government of ignoring safety norms and inaugurating incomplete buildings and bridges ahead of the assembly polls to "derive political mileage", Congress today asked the Chief Election Commissioner to restrain the government from doing so.
"In their haste to inaugurate the buildings and bridges ahead of the assembly polls, safety norms are being ignored," state Congress general secretary G S Bali alleged talking to reporters here.

He urged the CEC to personally inspect the incomplete
works which had been inaugurated for deriving political
mileage.

Bali ruled out any alliance with Himachal Vikas Congress
of Sukh Ram but added that there could be "limited seat
adjustments with the HVC".

Bali said he along with two other HPCC general
secretaries Viplov Thakur and Harsh Mahajan met party
president Sonia Gandhi, who has agreed to address three party
rallies in Himachal during the elections, due in February.
