New Delhi, Apr 21: Congress today pooh-poohed VHP
claim of "victory" following the release of its leader Praveen
Togadia by a city court in Ajmer saying he was only released
on "conditional bail".

"They are considering the conditional bail as their
victory. We have no objection to it", party spokesman S Jaipal
Reddy told reporters when asked about VHP celebrating his
release as a "victory".

Asked about party's future course of action following
Togadia's decision to continue with the Trishul distribution
programme, he said "as far as maintenance of law and order in
rajasthan is concerned, it is for the state government to
decide what steps should be taken within the law to meet the
situation".
