Medical entrance exam leak: 7 accused sent to JC

Seven persons arrested for their alleged role in the leak of entrance exam papers of AIIMS, were remanded to two-weeks of judicial custody.

New Delhi: Seven persons, including three
doctors, arrested for their alleged role in the recent leak of
the post graduate medical entrance exam papers of All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), were today remanded to
two-weeks of judicial custody by a Delhi court.

Metropolitan Magistrate Sudesh Kumar sent the accused to
judicial custody till January 31 after the Crime Branch of
Delhi Police submitted they were not required for further
custodial interrogation.

"Accused are remanded to 14 days of judicial custody,"
the court said.
The accused were produced before the court after the
expiry of their police custody remand.

The police had said accused Mohit Chaudhary, a second
year MBBS student of an Ujjain medical college, was the
"kingpin" of the racket and he had conspired with other
accused Amit, Shahi Balender Bakshi and Vimal Dangi, doctors
who had allegedly appeared in the entrance test.
