SAD (Amritsar) to submit memorandum to PM

Phagwara, Apr 16: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) will present a memorandum with one lakh signatures to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today in favour of its demand for withdrawal of a Tada case against party president Simranjit Singh Mann.

Party general secretary Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singhwala, told newsmen here that at least 5,000 signatures will be obtained from each district after visiting various villages,
mohallas and schools and colleges.

A large number of party workers and activists will converge in Delhi today at the time of Mann's appearance in a court in connection with the Tada case slapped on him for
his speech in Bangla Sahib Gurdwara a few years ago demanding
a sovereign Sikh state.
