Six dacoits arrested in Odisha

Malkangiri: Six armed dacoits were arrested and arms seized from their possession while the
gang was allegedly planning to commit a bank robbery in Malkangiri district, police said here Monday.
On a tip off, police raided the house of one of the accused Harihar Biswas at MV-11 under Malkangiri police station last night and arrested them when they were planning for the dacoity, Malkangiri superintendent of police Anirudha
Singh said.

Arms including an American-made pistol, three rounds of bullets and an iron cutter were seized from their possession.
On interrogation, the six had confessed that they were involved in several crimes including robbery and snatching in the district, Singh said.
