Fighting corruption through postcards

The anti-corruption bureau in Rajasthan has urged people in rural areas to complain it against corrupt officials through special postcards.

Kota: The anti-corruption bureau in Rajasthan has urged people in rural areas to complain it against corrupt officials through special postcards issued by it to gram panchayats.
ACB Additional Superintendent Devendra Kumar Sharma said
the postcards contain phone numbers of ACB officials and
following the verification of complaints, the branch would
forward them to police headquarters concerned for further
action.

On the reason to choose postcards over SMS or e-mails, he
said since there were so many fake e-mails and SMSes received
by the bureau, there authenticity cannot be verified.

According to ACB officials, the bureau has already sent
1,000 postcards to various tehsils and gram panchayats and the
department is receiving good response to the scheme.
