This rainbow cloud phenomenon, known scientifically as cloud iridescence was caught on camera and has caused an online sensation.
This rare event occurs when water droplets or ice crystals in the atmosphere scatter the light, according to the Weather Channel.
The beautiful natural occurrence captured by some eyewitnesses is being touted as "the end of days" and a "sign of God"
