Dhaka, Mar 29: Posters of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein are becoming increasingly popular in Bangladesh where anti-war demonstrations are held almost every day.
A vendor in downtown Dhaka today said he was selling
about 20 posters each day for up to 20 Taka (34 US Cents),
mainly to anti-war protesters.

Some posters have the president's picture along with
military action in Iraq or smoke clouds in Baghdad.

"People from all professions and children are buying the
posters," another vendor said.

The posters have been plastered on walls around Dhaka and
Iraqi flags are also selling well.

Bangladesh, the world's third largest Muslim-majority
country, has repeatedly called for a peaceful resolution to
the crisis.
