Man beaten to death during group clash

Sant Kabirnagar: One person was
beaten to death during a group clash over immersion of an idol
in Khalilabad area, police said here on Monday

Ravi Anand was seriously injured when he was beaten
with iron rods by Niranjan Chaurasiya and his accomplices
while a procession for immersion of idol was being taken out
last night, they said.

Anand was rushed to a district hospital where doctors
declared him brought dead, police said, adding that Niranjan
had been arrested in this connection.
