With the Trinamool Congress government completing three years, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday reviewed and categorised the performance of departments ranging from poor to outstanding.

Kolkata: With the Trinamool Congress government completing three years, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday reviewed and categorised the performance of departments ranging from poor to outstanding.

The Mass Education, Environment, Law and Judicial departments were categorised as poor by the chief minister, while Finance, IT, Panchayat and Rural Development, Irrigation, Municipal Affairs, Consumer Affairs and Sports were `outstanding`, according to insiders.
"So far I have reviewed the progress of work and performance of various departments with the ministers and senior officials in 54 meetings in last three years. While we acquired top position in many projects, performance of some projects also require a boost for faster implementation," Banerjee said.

Speaking about the performance of her government, Banerjee said that the issues of various departments were discussed on the basis of the administrative calender.
"We reviewed the performance of each and every project," she said after meeting ministers and secretaries and district magistrates.

On June 2, Banerjee said she would hold a similar review meeting at UttarKanya, newly created secretariat in north Bengal, to speed up development programmes in the districts under its jurisdiction.

Banerjee said that she would also hold a meeting with senior police officials.
