Washington, Oct 11: The US Senate on Friday gave final congressional approval to a resolution authorizing President Bush to wage war if necessary to disarm Iraq.
Handing Bush a major victory, the Democratic-led Senate passed the war powers resolution easily, following the Republican-led House of Representatives which voted 296-133 for the measure Thursday.
