Pune: Punam Yadav (63kg) bagged gold medals for India in both the senior and junior women's categories on the third day of the 2015 Commonwealth Youth, Junior & Senior weightlifting championships here on Wednesday.

In the men's section Vishnukanth S, Ragala Venkat Rahul and Vikas Thakur claimed the top positions in their respective weight divisions.

Another Indian in the fray, G Lalitha settled for the silver medal in 63kg Youth Girls section.

Punam lifted 90kg in snatch and 110kg in clean and jerk for a total of 200kg to win the top honours in senior as well as junior sections.

Vishnukanth clinched the gold in 85kg youth boys with an effort of 227kg (102+125).

Ragala Venkat won the yellow metal in 85kg junior men division with a lift of 327kg (146+181) but the same effort earned him a silver medal in the 85kg senior men's category.

Vikas Thakur bagged the top position in this category as he lifted 335kg (152+183).

Lalitha picked up a total weight of 164kg (74+90) to win the second position. The gold medal went to Mabia Aktar of Bangladesh with an effort of 176kg (78+98).

In 69 kg Junior Women, Swapna Priya Baruah won the gold medal with an effort of 170kg (75 + 95), while Pardeep Singh bagged the yellow metal with a lift of 320kg (138+182) in the 94 kg Junior Men.

In 94 kg Junior Men, India won the second position as well Harshad Wadekar clinched the silver medal after lifting 305kg (132+173).
