7th Pay Commission: Central govt employees could get Rs 4,500 extra in salary

Central government employees could receive an additional Rs 4,500 with their salary for the month of January 2022. For receiving the benefit, employees are required to submit Children Education Allowance Form on time. More than 25 lakh central government employees receive benefits of Children Education Allowance.

Since the onset of the pandemic, many employees are not able to claim CEA. Employees have to submit school certificates and supporting documents to claim the children education allowance. DoPT recently said that CEA claims can also be claimed through self-declaration or print out of result/report card/sms/e-mail of fee payment.
