Govt amends FCRA rules, allows relatives to send Rs 10 lakh freely
The new law permits relatives to send up to Rs 10 lakh without telling the government. If the sum is exceeded, individuals will have three months instead of 30 days to notify the government. The government has replaced the words "fifteen days" with "forty-five days"

CBI raids Amnesty International's offices over violation of funding
On November 5, the CBI had registered a case. It was alleged that the provision of the FCRA and Indian Penal Code (IPC) were contravened by the organisation by receiving foreign contributions from Amnesty International UK, even though prior registration or permissions were denied to the Amnesty International India Foundation Trust (AIIFT) and other Trusts under FCRA.
