Soon, Noida residents to pay auto-rickshaws drivers as per meters

Auto-rickshaws without meters will not be allowed to ply on Noida and Greater Noida roads in a bid by the Gautam Buddh Nagar transport department to stop them from charging arbitrary fares from passengers, officials said. Besides meter, fitness certificate will also be mandatory for auto-rickshaws to ply in the twin-cities of the western Uttar Pradesh district adjoining Delhi, they said.

RC cancelled! Find out why Noida banned these diesel and petrol vehicles

The Noida authority has cancelled the registration certificate of over 12,000 ten-year-old diesel and petrol vehicles. The officials said that the RC's validity of as many as 12,200 vehicles has expired now. They informed that the owners of such vehicles were continuously sent notices but they didn't apply for a NOC.
