MP: Rape Convict Released From Jail For 'Good Behaviour' Rapes Another Minor

The accused had raped a minor girl 12 years ago and was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. He, however, only served seven years of imprisonment and the remaining three years of jail were pardoned for his good behaviour in jail.

Rape convict commits suicide in Coimbatore central prison

A 47-year-old inmate of the central jail here, who was convicted in a rape case, allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday, police said.
