Ola driver locks Bengaluru woman in cab, molests her

A 23-year-old fashion stylist was allegedly molested by an Ola cab driver in Bengaluru on Sunday night. He allegedly tried to touch her inappropriately after child-locking her inside his cab.

It did not stop at that. He also made several calls to the women the next day, threatening her with dire consequences if she complained to the cab aggregator.

This came even as Ola reportedly banned the driver following the incident.

The incident took place on Sunday night at around 10.30 pm when the woman was travelling alone from Indiranagar to BTM Layout in the Ola cab driven by Rajashekhar Reddy.

According to the woman, the vehicle had reached the intermediate Ring Road on the way to Koramangala when the driver stopped the car by the roadside. He then tried to touch the woman inappropriately by reaching back from the front seat.

She then started banging on the car windows, after which he let her out.

However, the cab driver allegedly continued to approach her in an indecent manner despite her warnings. She then ran away from the spot till she reached the Ejipura traffic signal, about 500 metres away.
