Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not doing surrogacy drama 'Jasmine: A Story of a leased womb'—Here's what we know

New Delhi: The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has an ocean of fan following who look forward to watching on the big screens. This year, she channeled her inner rockstar avatar in 'Fanney Khan' opposite Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.

The movie managed to create a flutter but her fans want to see her in an author-backed role. And it was almost set that she will star in surrogacy drama 'Jasmine: A Story of a leased womb'. But now fresh reports suggest that the film has gone on hold.

According to DNA, previously the actress had suggested some changes in the script and writers Siddharth-Garima were working on it. Quoting a source, the report states, “Aishwarya has turned down Jasmine. There were several loopholes in the script. Although Siddharth and Garima’s basic idea was strong, there were many problems with the story, which the actress had reportedly pointed out to the writer duo. After the corrections, they approached her with a fresh script, but Ash still felt she couldn’t relate to it. So, she politely informed the team that she won’t be able to do the film anymore.”

Director Shree Narayan Singh was supposed to be one of the producers but he too has reportedly backed out of the project.

Meanwhile, Ash will be seen sharing screen space with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Kashyap's 'Gulab Jamun'.
