New Delhi: John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' has ticked the right boxes it seems. The audiences have given it a thumbs up and critics too approved of the effort put in to make the venture. The film is all set to cross Rs 60 crore-mark at the Box Office.

However, the film business has been affected after the release of Salman Khan's high octane-action drama 'Race 3'. On Friday, the John Abraham's film minted only Rs 36 lakh at the Box office.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the figures. He wrote: "#Parmanu gets eclipsed by #Race3 juggernaut... [Week 4] Fri 36 lakhs. Total: ₹ 59.22 cr. India biz."

As per Taran, the film business will be severely affected in the weekend as the Salman-starrer is expected to pull the majority of the audience.

The story of 'Parmanu' has been written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh and Abhishek Sharma. The film features John Abraham, Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Darshan Pandya to name a few. 'Parmanu' was earlier slated to release on December 8, 2017, but got pushed ahead.

'Parmanu' is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998. The film is produced by Zee Studio and JA Entertainment. It hit the screens on May 25, 2018.

The viewers have given it a warm reception and the numbers are expected to go up in the coming days. With the film inching closer to hit the Rs 60 crore mark, it has already been a profitable venture for the makers.
