New Delhi: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who has been neck deep with his professional commitments, is all set to make his debut as a Marathi film producer. His production banner, which goes by the name of Sanjay Dutt's Productions, will produce the yet untitled Marathi film.
The 29-year-old actor shared the news with his fans on the social media writing, "Ecstatic to announce Sanjay Dutt Productions` first venture into Marathi films alongside Blue Mustang, yet untitled."
The film will be directed by Rajat Gupta and will feature actors like Deepak Dobriyal, Nandita Dhuri and Abhijeet Khandkekar.
Dutt had earlier backed the Hindi remake of 2010 Telugu cult classic 'Prasthanam'. The original film had actors Sharwanand, Saikumar, and Sudeep Kishan in pivotal roles. In June this year, Dutt had shared a few photographs from the sets on his Twitter handle.
Actors like Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala and Manyata Dutta can be seen in the pictures.
The Hindi remake is being directed by Deva Katta, who also helmed the original. Notably, the shooting began on 1 June, which was also Sanjay's mother and late actress Nargis' birth anniversary. As per Asian Age report, Swara Bhaskar will probably also star in the film as Dutt's stepdaughter.
