New Delhi: Gold prices declined by Rs 10 on Monday. The price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold in India today stood at 47090 as against its previous close of Rs 47,100. On the other hand, the rate of 10 grams of 22-carat gold was trading at 51,370 as against its previous close of Rs 51,380.
In the international market, Gold prices hit a four-week high on Tuesday, as a weaker dollar and a dip in U.S. Treasury yields boosted demand for the safe-haven metal amid mounting worries over an economic slowdown. Spot gold was up 0.4% at $1,778.69 per ounce, as of 0044 GMT, its highest since July 5. U.S. gold futures gained 0.2% to $1,791.10 per ounce, said a Reuters report.

The precious metal had closed at Rs 52,142 per 10 grams in the previous trade. Silver declined by Rs 223 to Rs 58,731 per kg from Rs 58,954 per kg in the previous trade.
