India's 10 best selling cars in September 2016

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) continued its grip in the passenger vehicles market in India with 6 of its models in the top ten best selling models in September 2016.

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) continued its grip in the passenger vehicles market in India with 6 of its models in the top ten best selling models in September.

According to data compiled by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM), MSI's Alto which sold 27,750 units in September retained the title of the best selling model.

The company's compact sedan Dzire also retained the second spot with 18,961 units in the month.

Here is the list of India's top 10 selling passenger cars in September 2016

Maruti Suzuki Alto: 27,750 units

Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire: 18,961 units

Maruti Suzuki Swift: 16,746 units

Maruti Suzuki WagnoR: 16,645 units

Hyundai Grand i10: 12,212 units

Maruti Suzuki Baleno: 10,623 units

Renault Kwid: 10,558 units

Hyundai Elite i20: 10,254 units

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: 9,375 units

Hyundai Creta: 8,835 units
