Maruti Suzuki temporarily suspends production due to fire at Manesar factory

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki on Monday temporarily suspended production due to fire at Manesar factory of component supplier Subros.

The fire on Sunday at the Manesar facilities of Subros Ltd, which provides airconditioning compressors to Maruti Suzuki, has led to disruption of supplies.

Yesterday a major fire broke at the Manesar plant of Subros which took more than three hours to douse. There were no reports of casualty.

On an average MSI produces around 5,000 units a day from its two plants at Gurgaon and Manesar, which together have an annually capacity of rolling out 15 lakh units.
