Adele buys £600,000 apartment for mum to say `thanks`

London: Adele has thanked her mum Penny for helping her pursue her singing dream with the gift of a luxury apartment worth 600,000 pounds.

The 24-year-old singer, who was brought up alone by her mother, Penny Adkins, in a cramped flat above a shop in North. London, brought her an apartment in order to thank her for supporting her to become one of the biggest-selling artists in the world, the Mirror reported. The mother of one’s devotion to her 44-year-old mother, is in stark contrast to her relationship with estranged dad Mark Evans, who admitted he had been “a rotten father.” According to publicly-available land registry records, the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ hitmaker, who has a property portfolio of at least 10 million pounds, has transferred ownership of her flat in upmarket Notting Hill to Penny.
