London: Twilight fans all over the world were shocked and confused when it was revealed that Kristen Stewart had cheated on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders.
In the 17 hours running up to the 22-year-old’s admission, her fans were quick to jump to her defence after the story first broke.
Many of them told of how they hoped the young couple would be able to work through the scandal, whereas others were not pleased about Stewart’s infidelity.
On Twitter one fan wrote: “I don’t know Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart personally. But my faith of their loyalty has no flaw. Robsten Is Unbroken,” the Daily Mail reported.
Mostly the fans believed that the whole infidelity story was fake.
Another user said: “I feel like this Kristen Stewart/ Rob Patts cheating thing is fake for some reason.”
“I BELIEVE KRISTEN STEWART DIDNT DO ANYTHING AND IF YOU AS A KRISBIAN THINKS THAT SHE DID THEN YOU ARE NOT A KRISBIAN YOU ARE FAKE!”, was another comment.
But fans all over the Twitter-sphere seemed to be divided in their opinions.
Venting one fan tweeted: “I’m just p*ssed at Kristen Stewart right now. I hope that pic of her and the director is fake. I mean Robert is just amazingly hot... Why?!”
And another: “I’m not at all surprised that Kristin Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson. I mean, she never looked happy.”
However even after her statement was published, it still wasn’t enough to convince fans that the Twilight actress had been unfaithful.
One person tweeted: “Rite im confused, I thot (sic) the kristen stewart thing was fake, what is she apologising for in her statement then?”
Another post read: “I’m so conflicted about this Kristen Stewart BS. Issuing a public apology is so Kim Kardashian of her.”
While one Twilight fan brought to light the fact that Kristen has always been private and her relationship therefore a public apology was out of character.
The fan tweeted: “Anyone else think the Kristen Stewart cheating statement is a fake? Since when does she admit ANYTHING?”
