New Delhi: Earlier a hard-hitting batsman and now a famous Twitter personality, Virender Sehwag posted a heart warming message on women's day but some of his followers had not gotten over his tweet on the Gurmehar Kaur controversy.

Sehwag had posted a beautiful tweet towards child education on the occasion of women's day which read in Hindi, “Nanhi nanhi bacchiyon ko chaaro kitaabo padhne do saahab. Kokh se bach aayi hai, dahej se bhi bach jaaengi (Let little girls read some books, they found their way out of their mother’s womb, let them find their way out of the dowry system too).”

While some of his followers praised the message, some were still not in forgiving mood for his tweet on the Gurmehar-ABVP row.

As it can be seen, many followers still hold Sehwag responsible for triggering the huge backlash and trolling Gurmehar received.
