What made Sohail Khan shift focus to direction, production? Here's the truth

New Delhi: Bollywood star Sohail Khan is a man of many talents. The 46-year-old actor has already proved his worth in the film industry as a director and producer. In fact, even his screen presence in some of the movies won the hearts of many viewers. But, at present, he just wants to dedicate his complete attention towards direction and production.

Reportedly, Sohail is not happy with the type of roles he is being offered.

"I was not getting good work as an actor and I don't want to act just for the sake of it. I had a couple of films in the past but I realised I had a good production house to fall back on. I thought let me direct, let me produce," he told PTI.

The 'Veer' hunk added, "I wanted to slow down and did not want to do unnecessary work for the actor's tag. I'm very happy producing and directing as they come to me naturally."

Sohail's directorial venture 'Freaky Ali' is all set to release on September 9 this year. The flick stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arbaaz Khan, Amy Jackson and Jas Arora in prominent roles.
