Selena Gomez returns to Disney for `Wizards` TV movie

Los Angeles: Pop star and actress Selena Gomez is returning to Disney to reprise her role in a new TV movie on the hit series `Wizards of Waverly Place`.

The 20-year-old will also executive produce the movie alongside Vince Cheung, Ben Montanio, Dan Cross and David Hoge, reported a website. The girlfriend of Justin Bieber will reunite with co-stars Jake T Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals Barrera, David DeLuise and Gregg Sulkin for the one-hour special. Victor Gonzalez is on board to direct with the script provided by Cheung and Montanio. The telepic is slated to kick off the principal photography in October in Los Angeles for a 2013 premiere. "With the phenomenal ratings of the `Wizards` finale earlier this year, it became clear that fans of the series were not ready to say goodbye to Selena or the rest of the `Wizards` cast. As such, we`re thrilled that the cast has agreed to reunite to bring their fans one last grand adventure," said Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide. PTI
