A vehicle in West Bengal Minister Babul Supriyo's convoy met with a road accident on Friday. The incident took place in Birbhum's Rampurhat district after a vehicle Supriyo's convoy collided with a speeding auto, leaving at least seven people injured. The minister, who was going to attend the Rampurhat festival in a separate car, escaped unhurt.
According to local media reports, one of the vehicles that were carrying security guards in the convoy hit an auto. As a result, the auto and the security guards' car overturned.
 
Following this, seven people, including four security guards and an auto driver were injured. Soon after the incident, the police of Sainthia police station reached the spot and launched the rescue operation. Two people have been released after first aid. The remaining five have been shifted to Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital.
