CBSE class 10, 12 board exams begin, nearly 19.8 lakh students appear; three-tier arrangement for surprise checks

The board examinations for class 10 and 12 students of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began from Thursday.

New Delhi: The board examinations for class 10 and 12 students of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began from Thursday.

Nearly 19.8 lakh students are appearing in the CBSE 10 and 12 Board examinations this year.

As many as 8.86 lakh students have registered for Class 10 examination which is 15.73 percent more than last year`s figure.

10.98 lakh students have enrolled for Class 12 exams which is 2.82 percent more than last year`s number.

The examination of Class 10 will end on April 10, while Class 12 examination will conclude on April 29.

The Board has also launched a mobile application to help students locate their exam centres.

The Exam Locator App will help students to quickly know the examination centres on the basis of their roll number.
