DU Admission 2022: Delhi University will be releasing the DU Merit List 2022 for UG Admissions today, October 18, 2022. Students can see the merit list once it is published on the official website, du.ac.in. Additionally, students will have access to the merit list via the CSAS portal on admission.uod.ac.in. Admissions are being held by Delhi University (DU) for the 2022–2023 academic year. Phases 1 and 2 of the DU admissions process are now over, and according to reports, the majority of applicants choose to enroll in BCom courses. Delhi University has now published the DU Academic Calendar for the academic year 2022–2023. According to this, first-semester students will start attending classes on November 2, 2022.

The DU simulated list has been made public by Delhi University. The simulated list, which included everyone applicant who submitted an application for DU Admissions 2022 during Phases 1 and 2, was effectively a mock allotment list. At DU, seat distribution is now in progress. Through these lists, students would finalize their allotted seats and courses at colleges affiliated with DU.

DU Merit List 2022: 40 percent decline in seats

The total number of applicants in DU UG admission has declined by nearly 40 per cent this year, however, the percentage of applicants from CBSE has gone up by nearly 1.5 per cent as against last year. The total number of applications from the Kerala Board has dropped from 4,824 to 1,847. The percentage of candidates from Bihar seeking DU admission has doubled this year.

DU Merit List 2022: Academic Session

Classes for all first-year for undergraduate courses will begin on November 2, 2022, as per the DU academic calendar. The practical examinations for students will begin from February 17 to 26, 2023. Theory exams will be conducted immediately after this from February 27 to March 15.

Delhi University will now announce the DU first merit list 2022 on October 19. The decision was taken after the Supreme Court had announced to hear a plea of St Stephen's College against a Delhi High Court order which had asked it to follow the admission policy of the Delhi University on Wednesday.

BCom at Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College are the most popular college-programme combinations among candidates. According to the data provided by the Delhi University in the first week of October, 37,566 candidates had listed BCom at Ramjas College as one of their choices and 37,531 candidates had chosen BCom at Kirori Mal College.

The total number of applications for DU UG admission has decreased by almost 40% this year, but the proportion of applicants from the CBSE has increased by 1.5% compared to last year. From 4,824 to 1,847, the overall number of applications from the Kerala Board has decreased. This year, there are twice as many applicants from Bihar seeking admission to DU.

• Go to the official website of DU CSAS - ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
• Sign in using the CUET application number and password.
• Enter the given captcha code, and click on the ‘Login’ button.
• The candidate portal will open on the screen.
• Now, check the first merit list and save it for future use.

Admissions to Delhi University UG programmes is beign held through the CSAS. The admissions will be conducted in three phases - CSAS 2022 application form submission, selection of programmes and filling of preferences, and seat allocation and admission.

The respective college will check the following criteria while approving the application - 

1. Minimum eligibility

2. Program-specific eligibility

3. Subject mapping: DU will consider only those CUET subjects in which the candidate has passed Class 12.

4. Validity and authenticity of documents/certificates submitted by the candidate.

DU Admission 2022: Eligibility

As per the DU UG admission 2022 eligibility, only the candidate who has appeared in CUET(UG) - 2022 and has passed Class 12 from a single recognized board will be eligible to apply for the CSAS-2022. However, DU seat allocation will be based solely on the scores obtained in CUET UG 2022.
