New Delhi: As India celebrates its 71st Independence Day on August 15, 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his fourth address to the nation from the Red Fort. Security has been beefed up in the entire national capital with Delhi Metro deciding to shut down parking lots at all stations. More than 10,000 security personnel have been deployed in and around the Red Fort. Five Kirti Chakras among 112 gallantry awards will be conferred on heroes of armed forces by President Ram Nath Kovind during the Independence Day 2017 celebrations.
