Mamata Banerjee in Mumbai: What is UPA? There is no UPA!

Mumbai: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met with Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Wednesday (December 1) amid speculations that she can be the face of opposition in 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. Mamata, who has been critical of the Congress in the past and blamed it for making BJP "stronger", also had an answer ready for the media when they asked about the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
"What is UPA? There is no UPA," the West Bengal Chief Minister said. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mamata noted that a firm alternative course should be made to fight against "ongoing fascism"."A firm alternative course should be made as nobody's fighting against ongoing fascism. Sharad Ji is the senior-most leader and I came to discuss our political parties. I agree with whatever Sharad Ji said. There is no UPA," the West Bengal CM said.
