Ipsita Bhattacharya is a senior journalist who has over 18 years of experience in print and digital media. A News Editor with Zee News English, her interests are varied - from lifestyle, travel and wellness to hardcore political news and crime. In her long career, she has been a part of both Lifestyle & Entertainment desk as well as News desk, heading both. Holding a Masters degree in English Literature, prior to Zee, she has worked with The Times Of India, India Today, Deccan Chronicle, among others.
She was selected to cover IIFA Awards in Bangkok in 2006 despite being one of the youngest employees in Deccan Chronicle. From Delhi Times, she interviewed several Bollywood biggies including Priyanka Chopra and Sridevi and had actively participated in India Today Conclave coverages. She was also recognised for her work in Zee in 2023.
When she is not writing articles or picking on headlines, she is busy solving cozy murders with detectives on screen and novels, travelling or planning the next trip.
