34' - Ranti drops deep to pick up the ball and give it to Jairu on the left. The winger cut the ball back to Dong who is dispossessed.
30' - At the 30-minute mark, one has to say both sides have had their moments but failed to make the all-important pass in the final third. Jairu has been the live wire for EB, while Glen has been a nuisance for the defenders on the other side.
29' - Through ball played into Ranti, but no damage done as Dhanachandra blocks the pull back from the Nigerian.
27' - Norde virtually runs through the entire East Bengal team only to be thwarted by Arnab at the back.
26' - Still goalless here at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan. The crowd is getting impatient.
23' - Jairu gets the better of Kotal deep inside Bagan's half but the the disappointing cross prevents any damage. Ranti was lurking in the box but the ball was too high.
20' - Ball played in from the left by Bagan but Katsumi can't get on the end of it. The East Bengal left-back was caught napping there.
19' - Norde drops deep to pick up the ball, but his pass to Glen is cut out by the centre back.
17' - Jairu's lovely cross is headed out for a corner by Dhanachandra. All of East Bengal's penetrative play has come down that left flank.
15' - The crowd awaits that one moment of magic or madness at the moment. No real chances created by either side.
13' - Surprise, surprise..
Sen makes his first change - Balwant Singh comes on for Azharuddin.
11' - Luciano's tackle from behind on Ranti is penalized by the referee. The Brazilian has kept a close watch on Ranti so far.
9' - Nice build-up play from Bagan with the cross coming in from Souvik. But Glen's fouls his marker in his attempt to get to the ball.

4' - Both teams appear to be testing waters in the early moments of this match. No fluidity on offer from eithet side.
3' - Jairu's cross from the left is put out for a corner by Kingshuk. No damage done from the resulting corner kick,
