New Delhi: In a matter of huge concern, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), has predicted more rainfall in the next few hours in Delhi/NCR region.
IMD Director BP Yadav warned of downpour for today saying, the situation will improve by Thursday.
Yadav also predicted rainfall in Hyderabad, which witnessed massive traffic jams after heavy downpour this morning.
Heavy rainfall in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida Wednesday morning resulted in chaotic situation.
Several roads were inundated across Delhi and vehicular movement was severely affected. Almost the entire national capital was down to its knees after four hours of rainfall today morning.
Places hit by massive traffic congestion due to waterlogging include Moti Bagh, Wazirabad, Pragati Maidan, Azad Market, the stretch between IIT-Delhi and Munirka, Chirag Dilli, Punjabi Bagh, Karol Bagh, Dwarka, Shastri Park, Seelampur, Ghazipur, Najafgarh, the Nangloi-Mundka road, the Dhaula Kuan flyover, Greater Kailash II market, Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg, Barapullah flyover towards DND, Ashram Chowk, Ring Road Maharani Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan.
Meanwhile, at least seven persons including four children were killed today in two separate rain-related incidents following heavy downpour in Hyderabad since morning which has caused water-logging in many areas and brought traffic to a standstill in most parts of the city.
