Two killed, six injured as ULFA militants attack Assam village
As per initial reports, suspected militants belonging to anti-talk faction of the ULFA opened fire in Bahbon village in Philobari area of Tinsukia district of Assam this evening.

Guwahati: Militants belonging to the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) attacked a village in the northeastern state on Friday evening, killing at least two people and injuring six others.
As per initial reports, suspected militants belonging to anti-talk faction of the ULFA opened fire in Bahbon village in Philobari area of Tinsukia district of Assam this evening.
Assam Police chief Mukesh Sahay told IANS that four to five gunmen entered Philobari village and opened indiscriminate fire on the unsuspecting villagers.
Philobari happens to have a considerable population of Hindi-speaking population, who have migrated from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and are mostly working as daily wage labourers.
"Our operations are on to catch the killers," Sahay said.
The attack comes in the wake of August 5 attack at the weekly Balajan market near Kokrajhar town, in which over 14 people, belonging to different communities, were killed by the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).
