The Supreme Court of Friday issued a notice to Ministry of Home Affairs on a PIL seeking removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav for alleged complicity in Vyapam scam.
The apex court has also issued a notice to Ram Naresh Yadav.
The MP governor is one of the accused in the scam. His son Shailesh, also an accused, is among those who died under mysterious circumstances.
The Supreme Court had handed over the probe into Vyapam scam to CBI in July.
The premier investigating agency is probing into the scam and cases related to death of over 40 persons linked to the scam, including accused and witnesses.
