Two elderly women die of cardiac arrest during quake in J&K

Two women died of cardiac arrest during the magnitude 7.5 earthquake that rocked the state today, police said.

Srinagar: Two women died of cardiac arrest during the magnitude 7.5 earthquake that rocked the state today, police said.

 Zoona Begum (65) of Mohalla Mir Sahab in old town Baramulla suffered a heart attack as she was rushing to an open space when the earthquake hit the state around 2:40 pm, police said.

 Another elderly woman died in similar circumstances in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

 Fatima (80) of Ahangar Mohalla was declared dead on arrival by doctors at Anantnag district hospital, police said.
