Prabhat Jha files case against Rahul Gandhi

BJP vice president Prabhat Jha has filed a case in a local court against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly using a derogatory word against tribal women during a rally in Shahdol district on October 17.

Bhopal: BJP vice president Prabhat Jha has filed a case in a local court against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly using a derogatory word against tribal women during a rally in Shahdol district on October 17.

The court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Vishal Sharma today took cognisance of the case filed by Jha yesterday and directed him to record his statement on the issue on November 19.
In his complaint, Jha claimed that the Congress vice president had reportedly used a "derogatory" word while addressing a rally to highlight the issue of women`s dignity, which is highly objectionable. The BJP leader termed it as an insult to the tribals.
His lawyer Amit Majumdar said the court has directed Jha to record his statement in the matter on November 19.
