Dissidence in UP has hurt BJP, says Advani

Hyderabad, Oct 31: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on Thursday said dissidence by a section of BJP MLAs in Uttar Pradesh has "hurt" the party.

"The developments in Uttar Pradesh concerning BJP in the past four-five days.... has hurt the party," Advani said at a public function here in the backdrop of the continuing standoff between rebel BJP MLAs and party's leadership in the state.

Advani asserted that the "strength" of BJP has helped the party to come up to its present level.
