Renowned artist Vijayvargiya passes away

Jaipur, May 04: Renowned Lalit Kala artist
and recipient of Padamshree award, Ramgopal Vijayvargiya died of prolonged illness at a hospital in Delhi this morning, his family sources said.

He was 99 years old.
His body was brought here from Delhi for the last rites.
Condoling his death, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said the state has lost a "true and honest artist whose contribution will be remembered for centuries," according to a release.
