Madurai, Dec 26: Four Sri Lankan nationals who tried to get back to Sri Lanka from Rameswaram island clandestinely were arrested last night, police said.
Police had launched a hunt for six others, who had sneaked out.
A batch of 10 persons had reached Rameswaram from different parts of Tamil Nadu to get back to Sri Lanka by boat and had been waiting on the Dhanushkodi highway. Police on suspicion started questioning them.
However, six persons escaped from there, police said adding that the rest of them were taken into custody.
